Tina L Baum, PT, DPT, WCS, ATC, CLT
Tina has been practicing physical therapy for over 20 years. She started her training in the area of women’s health in 1999. Tina attended numerous specialty courses and conferences over the years to develop the skills necessary to successfully treat patients with pelvic floor dysfunction. She opened a private practice in 2001 with the sole goal of treating the undeserved population of women’s health patients. Her practice has evolved into treating men and utilizing the innovative treatment technique called “dry needling” that assists in the recovery of her patients.
Dr. Baum became a certified clinical specialist in women’s health (WCS) in 2015 and obtained her Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) in 2014. Her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy was earned in 1997. She was born and raised in South Dakota where she graduated from South Dakota State University in 1993 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training. While attending SDSU she earned 7 NCAA Division II All-American titles in Track and Field. She has also been inducted into the SDSU Athletic Hall of Fame and her High School Hall of Fame for her career achievements as a high jumper, sprinter and heptathlete.
For the past 6 years, Tina has had the honor of being appointed by the Governor to serve on the Nevada Physical Therapy Board. She also volunteers her time to serve on various committees for Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT). Tina finds a strong sense of accomplishment in promoting public protection for her profession by serving on these Boards. In 2017, Tina was selected by the Board of Directors of the FSBPT to receive the 2017 Outstanding Service Award.
